Some of our finest, most iconic landscapes are to be found in the North of England, attracting photographers to enjoy the matchless scenery, the changing light and the ‘four seasons in one day’ weather. It should be easy to take wonderful photographs in the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. But all too often the photographs disappoint, failing to capture the drama of what you saw.

Photography workshops and holidays Abroad is a photographic workshop and holiday service offered by Ian Middleton. We offer a variety of workshops/holidays in countries such as Slovenia, England, Ireland I offer a full day workshop for beginners and people wishing to learn more about their digital SLR, or who want to get more from their digital compact camera.

Beginners can take a one day workshop. Part of this workshop is in house and will teach all the theory using a simple and practical approach so you won’t be frightening off by complicated technical language. Afterwards, you will be taken outside to some great locations in which to try out your new skills, with your teacher on hand to guide you.

On location one day workshops are also on offer, for those who already understand the basics and just want to get out there and start shooting. Workshops are available in Lake Bohinj and many other inspiring locations. Workshops are available either as part of your holiday, or on their own. You are free to either book one of our holidays or plan your own holiday and start it with one of my workshops. If you already live in Slovenia where I give regular workshops, then simply join one of my groups or book a private session.
